Autumn in the Forest Preserves, Part 1

On Saturday, another surprisingly clear and seasonably warm day, Sandra and I drove around to view the trees in their autumn colors. While many trees had already shed their leaves, there were still many showing off their yellows, oranges, and reds. We stopped in one of the Forest Preserves in suburban Cook County to walk a bit and take in the atmosphere. I also took out the camera and snapped some shots.

Contrast of Trees

It was near sunset, so the light had that brilliant gold cast to it.

Setting Sunlit

With one celestial body setting, another had already risen.

The Moon

Besides the big grand details, I like finding the small ones too.
