Above the Clouds

Less than a month ago, Sandra converted some frequent flyer miles into a trip for two. The first flight was rather uneventful. though when we arrived at our connection in Phoenix, we had to wait for a plane and then a crew for the final leg to Portland.

While checking into the hotel after 1 am is not exactly an auspicious start to our getaway, the next day started sunny. Waiting for our ride to the coast, I snapped this shot of the Willamette River.
